Gaza Slaughtered in the Name of International Law

By Ali Khalil – Arab Telegraph

Nearly 2,000 Palestinians have been killed around Gaza aid centers since the start of Israel’s assault, according to the UN Special Rapporteur on Poverty and Human Rights. The Gaza famine is rapidly expanding, particularly in Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah, where tens of thousands are trapped under siege, hunger, and gunfire.

Instead of offering relief, humanitarian aid in Gaza has become a deadly trap—used by the Israeli occupation as leverage to enforce forced displacement, in blatant violation of international law. This is not simply a humanitarian catastrophe, but a calculated form of ethnic cleansing, engineered through starvation and collective punishment.

While Gaza starves, Arab regimes remain silent or distracted by hollow mediation and normalization. Europe, despite its endless rhetoric on human rights, has limited its response to weak statements of “concern” and calls for “restraint”—exposing the hypocrisy of Western values when the victims are Palestinians.

This is not just a tragedy; it is a documented crime of genocide carried out with “civilian tools”: food, water, electricity, and aid. Every passing minute, a child, a woman, or an elder dies—not because they carried weapons, but because they simply wanted to eat.

Once again, Gaza exposes the world:

  • Arab complicity and silence.

  • An international community unwilling to act.

  • A Western “humanity” that disappears when the victim is Palestinian.
