Egypt holds meetings with Syrian opposition groups before Syria talks in Moscow

CAIRO – Arab Telegraph – Egypt held a meeting between different Syrian opposition groups last week in Cairo in preparation for a new round of Syria talks due to be held in Moscow soon, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri said on Saturday.
Egypt is communicating with Syrian opposition and international parties in order to find a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis, Shukri added following his meeting with Hadi al-Bahra, head of the Western-backed Syrian opposition, the National Coalition.
The situation in Syria and the protection of the Syrian people is the driving force behind any Egyptian move, Shukri said, adding that Egypt is pushing all parties towards a political solution.
