Company reaffirms commitment to supporting Egypt’s maritime sector and unveils ambitious expansion plans
The Helnan Palestine Hotel in Alexandria’s Montazah Gardens hosted the World Maritime Day celebration, held under the patronage of Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Industry. The event brought together senior officials, heads and members of maritime chambers, as well as prominent business leaders and shipping company owners.
AIRC Ports & Logistics made a distinguished appearance as the official sponsor of the celebration. Dr. Mohamed Keshk, General Manager and official spokesperson for the company, emphasized AIRC’s dedication to supporting initiatives that strengthen Egypt’s maritime industry. He highlighted the company’s continuous efforts, led by CEO Eng. Makram Nabhan, to keep pace with the fast-moving global developments in ports and shipping.
Dr. Keshk noted that AIRC, the first Egyptian company specialized in port management, development, and operations, is striving to drive a real transformation in the sector by adopting the latest smart port technologies. The company has long been engaged in stevedoring, unloading, and storage operations at Damietta Port, and is currently pursuing an ambitious growth strategy.
Future plans include expanding into long-haul shipping lines with the purchase of a giant commercial vessel, venturing into shipbuilding and repair, and developing dry ports alongside other maritime-related activities.
