South Sudan rebels accuse government of attacks after snubbing peace deal
ADDIS ABABA – South Sudanese rebels accused the government of attacking its positions in Imatong just hours after President Salva Kiir refused to sign a peace deal proposed by regional mediators.
“The regime in Juba rejected to sign the peace agreement because it has chosen war over peace,” rebel leader and former vice president Riek Machar said in a statement on Tuesday.
