The film sheds light on one of the most closely watched transitions of power in modern history. It offers exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the life of First Lady Melania Trump during the crucial weeks leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration, particularly the 20 days of preparation. Additionally, it documents Melania Trump’s role in coordinating the inauguration arrangements and delving into the complexities of the White House power transition. The film also sheds light on the behind-the-scenes and explores Melania’s role in advising the president. Moreover, the film highlights exclusive and personal moments, including meetings, private conversations and personal and family arrangements, such as relocating her family to the nation’s capital. Basically, all this is highlighted through exclusive footage of pivotal meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen locations. Furthermore, the film explores Mrs. Trump’s return to one of the world’s most powerful roles, and offers a rare glimpse into the personal and professional challenges of the preparation process of becoming First Lady, through an intimate and unprecedented look at her role and influence during this significant transitional period.

As for the film, Trump stated, “History is being written during the twenty days of my life leading up to the inauguration of the USA President. For the first time, the world is invited to cinemas to witness this pivotal chapter unfold. It is a private, unfiltered look at my journey between family, business, and philanthropy on my exceptional journey to becoming First Lady of the USA”.

She added, “It’s a very personal project that highlights my life from a perspective that has never been shown before. I wished to present my true self, away from direct politics and media controversy”. Additionally, she mentioned that she retained full editorial control, and selected the music, color correction, final script review, advertising campaign design, and overseeing the promotional material.

Concerning the film’s premiere at the White House, Melania stated, “I’m deeply humbled to have been surrounded by an inspiring room of friends, family, and cultural figures at the White House last night. Each of these individuals brought their unique vision to the world, making a lasting impression. Our personal stories endure time and serve as a reminder of our mutual obligation to one another”.

Trump herself worked as an executive producer for the film. That’s what Trump’s advisor and representative emphasized, saying: “The film wasn’t produced for political reasons. Melania led the creative process. She was actively involved in the making of the film, artistic selections, and content”.

He added, “Melania Trump and the producers set a vivid objective: offering audiences a rare behind-the-scenes look at her life and expertise as First Lady. After watching excerpts from the film, Donald Trump said that it’s ‘amazing’ and that audiences will be eager to get tickets”.

Director Brett Ratner noted, “The film was shot in real time during the transitional period, highlighting the immediate sense of the pressure and challenges associated with preparing for one of the most scrutinized public roles in American political life. Besides, the film highlights locations and moments that are usually off-camera, offering an unprecedented perspective on the logistical, personal, and ceremonial preparations leading up to the inauguration”.

The film is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Muse Films, New Element Media and Ratpac Entertainment. It is distributed by the United Motion Pictures and directed by Brett Ratner, who co-produced the film with Fernando Sullichin, Mark Beckman, and Melania Trump.
