In<\/strong> just a few weeks, the Eid al-Adha film season will kick off, a period eagerly awaited by filmmakers every year due to its importance and its distinction as the longest season, as it overlaps with the summer season.<\/p>\n

Egyptian cinemas are set to witness of great momentum during the upcoming Eid al-Adha season, with ten films competing simultaneously for box office revenues. The lineup begins with the film \u201cSamson and Delilah,\u201d marking the return of Egyptian actor Ahmed El Awadi to the box office after a three-year absence. His last cinematic appearance was in \u201cAl Eskandarani,\u201d alongside Bayoumi Fouad and director Khaled Youssef. He recently decided to return with a new project co-starring Mai Omar, Khaled El Sawy, and Essam El Saqqa, written by Mahmoud Hamdan and directed by Raouf El Sayed.<\/p>\n

Ramadan bets on \u201cAssad\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The second film is \u201cAssad,\u201d starring Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan, marking his return to cinematic competition after a four-year hiatus. His last film was \u201cAal Zero,\u201d released in 2023, which did not achieve major success. Ramadan is betting on \u201cAssad\u201d to become a strong contender at the box office, dedicating two full years to the project, which co-stars Magued El Kedwany and Razan Jamal, and is written and directed by Mohamed Diab.<\/p>\n

Helmy and El Sakka<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Actor Ahmed Helmy also returns to the big screen with \u201cAd’af Khalqoh,\u201d which recently wrapped filming in preparation for its Eid al-Adha release. The film marks his first collaboration with Hend Sabry, who plays the female lead, blending social drama with situational comedy.<\/p>\n

Among the competing films is also \u201cTake Care of Yourself,\u201d the first cinematic collaboration between Ahmed El Sakka and Yasmine Abdel Aziz. The film combines action and comedy within a simple social storyline.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeven Dogs\u201d \u2013 the biggest production<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Egyptian and Arab cinemas are also preparing for the largest production among the lineup, \u201cSeven Dogs,\u201d which took two years to film due to the complexity of its scenes and its heavy use of CGI and intense battle sequences. The film brings together Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz, alongside international stars such as Salman Khan and Monica Bellucci.<\/p>\n

Continuing the competition among box office stars, Mohamed Emam joins the cinematic showdown with \u201cSaqr w Kanaria,\u201d marking his first collaboration with Chico, alongside Yousra El Lozy and Entesar, as well as a group of young stars. The film falls the action-comedy genre, in which Emam has succeeded in recent years.<\/p>\n

Bosil\u2019s first acting experience<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the season\u2019s films is also \u201cBig Rami,\u201d starring Ramez Galal, with co-stars Nesreen Amin and Bassma Bousil, who makes her acting debut. The film also includes a light touch of romance.<\/p>\n

Actress Laila Elwi reunites with Bayoumi Fouad for the fourth time in cinema through \u201cIbn Meen Fehom,\u201d a work that blends comedy and social drama, similar to their previous collaborations in \u201cMama Hamel,\u201d \u201cGawaza Toxic,\u201d and \u201cSugar Daddy.\u201d<\/p>\n
