They\u2019ve been on the island. They\u2019ve been to his house. They\u2019ve given him creepy cards with pubic hair. They\u2019ve been accused by a multitude of women of a multitude of wrongdoings, and nothing has happened to any of them,\u201d Stewart says. \u201cI gotta be honest, I\u2019m just not sure anybody is going to be held accountable for any of this.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOh, except Prince Andrew,\u201d he added dismissively. \u201cOh, Prince Andrew,\u00a0stripped of the title prince. Ooh, such a penalty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">Stewart was not surprised to see Trump mentioned thousands of times in the new batch of files, but claimed the\u00a0redactions\u00a0and\u00a0slow releases\u00a0were protecting him from any accountability. \u201cLook, man, we always knew that the people at DoJ releasing these documents weren\u2019t on a fact-finding mission, they were running interference,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd the guy they\u2019re running interference for seems very satisfied with these results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">He concluded his monologue with clips of Republicans complaining about a \u201ctwo-tiered\u201d legal system in the US. Such people, including Lindsey Graham, were using the term to criticize so-called sanctuary cities, but Stewart had a better application.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAfter watching the politically well-connected skirt any form of legal accountability for horrible fucking crimes, it seems pretty clear to me that there\u00a0<em>is\u00a0<\/em>a sanctuary city in this country,\u201d he said. \u201cThe real sanctuary city is where money and power protect you from the consequences of sex trafficking, or influence peddling, or taking half a billion dollars and giving away America\u2019s AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThat\u2019s the real sanctuary city,\u201d he said next to a Photoshopped picture of Trump, Elon Musk and the several other figures named in the files. \u201cAnd these are the motherfuckers who live there.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"jimmy-kimmel\" class=\"dcr-n4qeq9\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">On\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel\u00a0Live!, the host also blasted the justice department\u2019s handling of the Epstein files. \u201cThey claimed they\u00a0needed time to redact the names of the victims, but whether intentionally or as a result of incompetence or a combination of both\u201d, they released thousands of files that did not redact the names or photos of the victims. \u201cBut they did do a pretty decent job of redacting the names of the victimizers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">Kimmel summarized the findings: mentions of known Epstein associates such as Trump and Bill Gates. \u201cIt would seem that some other famous people, including Elon Musk and Howard Lutnick, the commerce secretary, may not have been telling the whole truth about their interactions with Jeffrey Epstein,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is clear that Prince Andrew is royally fucked, which is a term you hear a lot but rarely when it is literally true.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAnd most of all, it is so bananas that the guy who is in charge of releasing all these files and redacting all this evidence is Donald Trump\u2019s own personal defense attorney,\u201d Todd Blanche. \u201cAnd then there\u2019s all this other stuff going on \u2013\u00a0busting\u00a0into the election headquarters in Georgia,\u00a0arresting\u00a0journalists like Don Lemon,\u201d who was a guest on Kimmel\u2019s show. \u201cSuddenly\u00a0shutting down\u00a0the Kennedy Center for two years, calling for\u00a0nationalized\u00a0elections, Trump\u00a0suing\u00a0the government he runs for $10bn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cMy head is spinning, but I guess that\u2019s the point,\u201d he concluded. \u201cRemember when Trump was\u00a0threatening\u00a0to invade Greenland? That was not even two weeks ago! We\u2019re living in dog years now. And it\u2019s only going to get nuttier. Now that the new batch of Epstein files is out, the Distract-o-matic is cranked all the way up.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"stephen-colbert\" class=\"dcr-n4qeq9\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Stephen Colbert<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"05b21437-22a8-474e-a874-aedafe3987b3\" class=\"dcr-173mewl\" data-spacefinder-role=\"inline\" data-spacefinder-type=\"model.dotcomrendering.pageElements.VideoYoutubeBlockElement\">\n<div class=\"dcr-13aa88h\" data-component=\"youtube-embed\">\n<div class=\"dcr-o3wkq\" dir=\"ltr\">The latest batch of Epstein files contained \u201c3m pages of just terrible stuff\u201d, said Stephen Colbert, thanking his Late Show researchers. \u201cFolks out there are still slogging through the files, but they implicate a who\u2019s who of powerful men,\u201d from tech titans to Wall Street figures. Colbert referenced a New York Times\u00a0investigation, which found 5,300 files that referenced Trump and more than 38,000 references to him, his wife Melania or his residence at Mar-a-Lago. \u201cObviously this is the biggest story imaginable, but for some reason it isn\u2019t,\u201d he noted.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">The White House has, of course, denied all allegations, including that Trump forced an underage girl to perform oral sex and hosted orgy parties for young girls at one of his golf courses. \u201cEven if these particular parts of the files, which the justice department released and are denied by the White House as not being proven, what is detailed in those 3m pages are allegations of some of the cruelest, most depraved crimes against women and kids, involving some of the most powerful men on planet Earth,\u201d said Colbert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWith this document dump, we now have even more evidence that there is indeed a cabal of rich men who traffic young women and girls across state and international lines for their pleasure,\u201d he added. But Blanche, the US deputy attorney general and formerly Trump\u2019s personal lawyer in the Stormy Daniels hush-money case, said the justice department was\u00a0not considering\u00a0any additional charges related to Epstein, because \u201cthere was nothing in there that allowed us to prosecute anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cYou have\u00a0<em>millions of pages<\/em>,\u201d Colbert fumed. \u201cAnd you don\u2019t want to investigate any further, and possibly bring any of these men to justice?\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"seth-meyers\" class=\"dcr-n4qeq9\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Seth Meyers<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"8a1b778f-7826-4726-9102-3863238f0598\" class=\"dcr-173mewl\" dir=\"ltr\" data-spacefinder-role=\"inline\" data-spacefinder-type=\"model.dotcomrendering.pageElements.VideoYoutubeBlockElement\">\n<div class=\"dcr-13aa88h\" data-component=\"youtube-embed\">\n<div class=\"dcr-o3wkq\"><iframe title=\"Musk\u2019s Emails to Epstein Revealed; Trump Sues IRS for $10 Billion, Rakes in UAE Money: A Closer Look\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/SDuxH6m4ld0?wmode=opaque&amp;feature=oembed\" width=\"854\" height=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">And on Late Night,\u00a0Seth Meyers\u00a0zeroed in on one particular detail from the Epstein files: a 2012 email from\u00a0Musk to Epstein, asking: \u201cWhat day\/night will be the wildest party on your island?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">That \u201cline of poetry\u201d, Meyers cracked, \u201cis not a question you should ask anyone, but especially not a guy who at that point was already a registered sex offender\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cYou\u2019re being about as slick as Tulsi Gabbard at an FBI raid,\u201d he added, referring to the Trump administration\u2019s\u00a0raid\u00a0on an election facility in Georgia this past weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">Between that and the Epstein files and everything else, \u201cwe\u2019re living in Maga\u2019s warped world where everything is upside down and nothing matters except who has power and who does not,\u201d said Meyers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThey hail violent January 6 rioters as heroes and call peaceful protesters \u2018domestic terrorists\u2019,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe government rounds up children and families and citizens and claims they\u2019re going after the worst of the worst, while at the same time they cover up for wealthy and powerful elites named in the emails of a guy who was actually the worst of the worst. All they\u2019ve done has proven once again that they care about nothing other than power.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOur elites and institutions have lost all credibility. Their only consistent principle is that they are,\u201d to quote JD Vance, \u201cfull of shit.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dcr-14emo0l\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<div class=\"dcr-1v9sla6\">\n<div
