Mohamed Amin, originally from Egypt, has turned his passion for table tennis into a family legacy in England. Amin\u2019s journey with the sport began at the age of 25 when a close friend from Egypt\u2019s National Table Tennis Team introduced him to the game. Instantly captivated, Amin carried his love for table tennis across continents when he moved to England 25 years ago.<\/p>\n
Upon settling in England, Amin joined the Bromley League and later transitioned to the Redhill League in 2010. Now a regular member of Roystons Club at Redhill and Reigate Table Tennis Club, Amin has inspired his children to embrace the sport. His two youngest, Adam, 14, and Ayah, 12, have followed in his footsteps, showcasing their talent in local leagues.<\/p>\n
Adam currently competes as a Division 1 player in the Redhill League, while Ayah has earned her place as a Division 2 player in the East Grinstead League. Both are also active members of the Crawley League and regularly train at the Crawley Community Club.<\/p>\n
Under the mentorship of coach Amila Thilakarathna, Adam and Ayah have shown remarkable progress. Ayah, in particular, has achieved a significant milestone, being ranked 44th in England\u2019s Under-13 category.<\/p>\n \u201cMy oldest son wasn\u2019t interested, but Adam and Ayah have embraced the game wholeheartedly,\u201d Amin shared. \u201cCoach Amila has been instrumental in their development, especially in refining Ayah\u2019s skills. We\u2019re now aiming for Adam to break into the top 10 by the end of the year and eventually represent England.\u201d<\/p>\n The family dedicates significant time to training, with both group sessions and private one-on-one coaching.
