Last week, Syrian President Bashar Assad<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/sputniknews.com\/middleeast\/201805101064319713-rebuilding-syria-assad-cost\/\" target=\"_blank\">estimated<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>that reconstruction would cost up\u00a0to $400 billion. Earlier, the leader said it would take 10-15 years for\u00a0Syria&#8217;s infrastructure to\u00a0be restored.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Syria has been in\u00a0a state of\u00a0foreign-sponsored civil war sponsored since\u00a02011, with\u00a0the government and its allies fighting a motley collection of\u00a0militants, most of\u00a0them affiliated with\u00a0radical Islamism.
